Midwest Voice hosted by the University of Iowa

Please come join us to celebrate all things Voice at the inaugural Midwest Voice. 

The University of Iowa is hosting the first year of Midwest Voice on Nov. 16, 2024. The event will be held in Iowa City, Iowa at the beautiful and dynamic Voxman School of Music (an online option is available). This will be a daylong conference dedicated to the science, health, and art of the performing voice. 

Keynote presentations from NATS President Alexis Davis Hazell, Chairman of the Voice Foundation Dr. Robert Sataloff, Dr. Ingo Titze, Lynn Helding, Dr. Peter Pabon, and Dr. Christian Herbst.  

Early-bird registration is now open with special reduced registration rates and tickets to the University of Iowa's Voxman School of Music's production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte (for in-person attendees). These prices will increase on Oct. 1. Only early-bird registrants are offered tickets to the production.

All registrations (in-person and zoom) will include a full day of presentations from industry leaders in voice science, pedagogy, and medicine. In-person registration will include refreshments during coffee breaks, and a catered evening meal.  

Early-bird ticket prices are as follows (click to begin registration):  

For professionals, the in-person option will be $100 and the Zoom option will be $80.

For students, the in-person option will be $25 and the Zoom option will be $20.  

Midwest Voice will be hosted by the University of Iowa's own Dr. Eric Hunter and Dr. David Meyer. The combined efforts of the historic Iowa Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the pioneering Iowa School of Music are bringing Iowa faculty from Bioengineering, Education, Otolaryngology and beyond to host his symposium.
