University of Iowa Health Care is partnering with Healthy Birth Day to host The Iowa Maternal Health Symposium: Empowering Conversations & Proven Maternal Health Solutions, a virtual event dedicated to addressing the unique challenges and opportunities available for providing maternal health within rural communities. This event will bring together Iowa health care providers, policymakers, researchers, community leaders, and advocates to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions for improving maternal and infant health outcomes in rural areas.
New this year are the Ignite Sessions, a captivating opportunity to spotlight organizations significantly impacting maternal health in rural areas. This portion of the day aims to showcase innovative programs, share success stories, and inspire collaboration among attendees committed to improving health outcomes for mothers and babies in rural communities.
