Across the Aisle: Constitutional Crisis
Apr 14, 2025
12:30 PM - 01:45 PM
Boyd Law Building, Levitt Auditorium
130 Byington Road, Iowa City, IA 52246
Across the Aisle is hosting an all-school discussion on constitutional crisis: hysteria or threat? Brought to you by the Collegiate Community Committee, our goal is to bridge division by bringing people with different perspectives on important social and political issues into conversation with each other. This event will focus on two key issues: DOGE's reforms of the federal workforce, and presidential power over independent agencies.
After introductory remarks, participants will form small groups over lunch to discuss their views. They are not expected to reach a consensus; instead, the event fosters civil dialogue over one of the year's most important topics. Across the Aisle is open to all College of Law students, staff, and faculty and their views.
The event will occur on Monday, Apr. 14, at 12:45 p.m. in BLB 295, Levitt Auditorium. Hot lunch will be provided to those who RSVP! To join, please register by adding your name here (www.tinyurl.com/AcrossTheAisle).
