Explore Engineering Careers in Chicago – April 17–18
Join us for an exciting two-day career trek to Chicago, where you’ll gain behind-the-scenes access to leading engineering companies, connect with industry professionals, and grow your career network—all while exploring one of the Midwest’s top engineering hubs.
Trek Schedule:
Thursday, April 17
Depart from the Seamans Center at 6:45 AM
Visit Panduit – a global leader in electrical and network infrastructure innovation
Evening Alumni Dinner – network with successful Iowa Engineering graduates working in the field
Friday, April 18
Visit G&W Electric – learn about power grid solutions and electrical engineering careers
Chicago Architecture Tour – wrap up the trek with a one-of-a-kind experience exploring the city’s stunning architectural history.
Return to Iowa City by ~6:00 PM
A third employer visit is currently being finalized to round out the experience.
Cost: $60 per student
Includes transportation, hotel accommodations, and a group dinner with alumni.
